The experience of bereavement can shake us to the core, threatening our wellbeing and our ability to withstand the demands of our complex lives. At Lifetime, we believe any form of deprivation or loss may be experienced as a bereavement and make no distinctions between the death of people or pets, the ends of relationships or careers in their capacity to affect our health and potential for growth. Lifetime Bereavement counselling provides a space of comfort and healing where we work at your pace for as long as it takes to find peace.

I had my own notion of grief. I thought it was the sad time that follows the death of someone you love. And you had to push through it to get through to the other side. But there is no pushing through. But rather there is absorption. Adjustment. Acceptance. And grief is not something you complete, but rather you endure. Grief is not a task to finish and move on, but an element of yourself – an alteration of your being. A new way of seeing. A new definition of self.
