Tenderness  ·  Warmth  ·  Professionalism

I work within a Person-Centred Approach. I believe that everyone has the potential to grow and change when given compassion and understanding to feel safe, heard and accepted.

“When I accept myself as I am, then I change.” — Carl Rogers

After qualifying as a Counsellor I joined Jigsaw, which is part of Cornwall Council's Psychology Team, working with young people and their parents.  This work is Trauma focussed and incorporates Attachment Theory (the relationships we make with our significant childhood care givers).

I work for CRASAC and have trained with Waves in Domestic Violence.

I am a Foster Carer with 20 years of experience in the care system. I specialise in preparing children for adoption, but currently have no young people living with me.

I have five children, four boys and a girl and am part of a dog sharing scheme. I enjoy getting out into the world with the dogs and my children.

My experience is with children from baby to adults, exploring a range of issues including: abuse, relationship difficulties, depression, childhood/adult trauma, bereavement/grief/loss and others. I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental, safe space for you.
