Sidwell Lawler
My approach as a counsellor has been shaped by almost 30 years of working in healthcare, including a career in midwifery and a Master's degree in Public Health. Throughout that time, I have had the privilege of supporting people through some of life's most significant, vulnerable and challenging experiences. These roles have given me a deep appreciation of the connection between physical and emotional wellbeing, and of the importance of feeling truly heard, understood and valued as an individual.
I recognise how difficult it can be to talk about the things that matter most, particularly when there is a fear of being judged, misunderstood or dismissed, or when your needs have not always felt heard or met. Because of this, I aim to offer a warm, accepting and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and explore your experiences at your own pace.
I am particularly interested in supporting people who feel they have lost their way, become disconnected from themselves, or are struggling to make sense of who they are and what they need. This can happen for many reasons, including life changes, relationship difficulties, loss, workplace pressures, caring responsibilities, or significant transitions such as perimenopause and menopause. Experiences such as these can affect confidence, identity, relationships and our sense of self.
My aim is to help you explore these challenges, reconnect with yourself, and move towards a way of living that feels more authentic and aligned with who you are, rather than who you feel expected to be.
